Paul obtained his Chartered Accountant designation in 1996 after graduating from Brock University with an Honors Bachelor of Accounting degree. He then completed the C.I.C.A. In-Depth Tax Course in 2000. In 2011, Paul was appointed to the Board of Directors of Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket and acts as the Treasurer.
Paul manages assurance engagements of both privately held and TSX-V listed companies. Working with a wide range of diversified clients to gain a thorough knowledge of their business allows Paul to quickly become a trusted member of the management and advisor team.
Paul works with clients in a wide range of industries – including retail, manufacturing, real estate, construction, insurance, financial services, and emerging knowledge-based industries. As the partner overseeing Professional Standards, Paul is active in the training and implementation of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE) and Canadian Auditing Standards (CAS) with the firm.
Paul’s keen interests in technology and business lead to a career in public accounting to apply those interests. He employs emerging technologies as a tool to improve clients’ businesses. In addition to assurance and taxation work, Paul is involved with our international accounting affiliation JHI as a member of the Information Technology committee.
