Jeff is the Managing Partner and Senior Tax Partner at Lipton LLP, Chartered Accountants, located in Toronto.
He graduated from the University of Windsor in 1979 with a Bachelor of Commerce degree, followed by a Master of Business Administration degree in 1980 from Babson College in Wellesley, Massachusetts where he studied U.S. taxation and international business.
Jeff joined Lipton LLP in 1986 after spending six years at a national accounting firm. Since joining, Lipton LLP has grown to 10 partners and a total complement of approximately 60 people.
Jeff’s practice includes advising clients in numerous areas, including tax and estate planning for individuals, corporations, partnerships and trusts. Jeff has written for a number of publications and speaks to a variety of professional and business groups, including the Canadian Tax Foundation, the Institute of Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario and The Law Society of Upper Canada. He has also completed the CPA Canada In-Depth Tax Course as well as other advanced taxation courses and is a member of the Canadian Tax Foundation and the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.
Jeff is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario – Appeals Committee. This Committee conducts appeals of decisions made or sanctions imposed on Chartered Professional Accountants by the Discipline Committee.
Jeff is a past President of the Temple Sinai Congregation of Toronto as well as its former Treasurer. He is also a member of the Audit and Finance Committee of The Baycrest Centre Foundation and a former executive member of the City of Vaughan Hockey Association.
